It found me anyway.

Tall. Dark. Addictive.

Melts me with his touch.

But he has secrets.
A hidden agenda, beyond his craving for me.

A desire for more than tangled silk sheets and our sweat-slicked skin.

I need to run. From him. From the lies.

But running from the hunter means I’ve now become the prey.

Cover Reveal: Best Laid Plans by Lauren Blakely

They say the grass is greener on the other side…

As a good girl, I have to wonder if it’s better on the naughty side of the fence.

BEST LAID PLANS, my sexy new standalone romance and will be releasing on March 1, 2019 on all retailers! A friends-to-lovers romantic comedy with a fantastic twist on lessons in seduction, don’t miss the stunning cover below, and pre-order your copy today!

Cover Design by Helen Williams.

About BEST LAID PLANS (Coming 3/1/2019): That time I had the brilliant idea to ask my good friend for lessons in sex-ploration…

Awkward? Maybe. But how else is a good girl going to find out if she likes being naughty? I might be sweet as cherry pie, but I’m also bold and damn curious. And Gabe is charming, trustworthy, aces at seduction (or so I hear) and—bonus!— willing to give me lessons. But to guarantee it won’t ruin our friendship, I have some specific requirements for his instruction. I want these classes to be hypothetical more than hands-on. So what if he’s hella sexy? I can handle that, no problem. ***

I have it bad for Arden. She’s bright, brilliant, insanely fun, and I want to take her home and spend all night together—and then spend the day with her, too. When she asks for my help, I see my chance to win her sweet heart by showing her how much fun we can have getting spicy. Trouble is, she has a different idea of what “sex-ploration” should mean. Now I’m going to have to get really clever to win her over.

Good thing I know exactly how to upend her best laid plans.

Review: Dirty Sexy Games (Dirty Games Duet, #2) by Laurelin Paige

3 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

I really liked this book! Laurelin Paige does not fail to entertain with the DIRTY SEXY GAMES found throughout this book. This book concludes the Dirty Games Duet and you should read Dirty Sexy Player first, as this should not be read as a standalone. We follow Elizabeth Dyson and Weston King and discover what happens now that they’re married…and what Weston is keeping from Elizabeth.

Real life isn’t like a romance novel. You don’t always have to end up with the guy. I don’t think I like real life anymore. – Elizabeth Dyson

The story is told from both Elizabeth’s and Weston’s points of view. There are some steamy 🔥 scenes that truly enthralled my mind. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and it has joined the ranks of BIBLIO-SUPERIOR.

Review : Erik by Sawyer Bennett

2 STARS ⭐️⭐️

I was fairly disappointed with this book. This was the second book in the Arizona Vengeance Series, but can be read as a standalone. I felt that there was no depth to either of the main characters, Erik Dahlbeck and Blue Gardner. The “blurb”(book description) gave too much away. The only thing it didn’t give away was the reason Blue was so cold to Erik in the first place. I found it unbelievable how both the main characters fell for each other in such a short amount of time especially after Erik found out why Blue disliked him so much.

As well, once we reached the conflict in the story (which in my opinion was not such a big deal) I felt that Blue made some ridiculous choices. I also felt that there was too much focus on the secondary characters, Legend Bay (Erik’s teammate) and Pepper (Legend’s neighbour). The POV alternated equally between Erik and Blue. Overall, the book was alright and it will join the ranks of BIBLIO-COMMON.

Sawyer Bennett is a great writer and I have enjoyed many of her other books, especially the Cold Fury Series. I have higher hopes for Legend and I am eager to read the next instalment in this series.

The Journey Begins

Welcome to Athena D. Lexis Book Blog – book_everlasting! I’m new to the world of blogging. So please be patient as I’m sure to go through many growing pains (i.e. ‘Oopsie Daisy’ moments). I’m a little nervous but also excited to share this journey with you all. Thanks for joining me as I spread my wings and soar!
