Oh my…did this book give me all the feels!!!! To feel like you actually bore witness to their pain and sorrow through infertility and how that affects the state of their once, at first sight love-filled marriage. The author did an amazing job of conveying what happens when there is a lack of emotional communication and the outcome of the overwhelming need to be polite to ease another’s feelings. You will experience the journey Imogen and Theo endure and if they can weather the storm of separation!
“Not a new start, but a turn of a page. A patch of clean sand after the waves of a storm have ravaged the beach.”
Imogen Weston Walsh is the main female character who finally finds the strength to lead her own life despite her blue blood lines.
“Sometimes beginnings hurt, and it was strange to get used to a new way of life. But what drowned that fear, that pain, was excitement. The knowledge that what was about to start was going to be the best chapter you’d come to thus far.”
If I didn’t love my husband as much as I do…I think I would fall in love with Theo Walsh. He is the epitome of a broody, yet manly man who is loyal and oh so romantic! He is the definition of a dream husband.
“From the beginning, I’ve said it … whatever she needs, I will give it to her. Not that my happiness isn’t important, because over the course of the last couple months, I’ve learned that I need to listen to my own heart … but I will always put her first. That’s what a man does when he is in love.”
Overall, this book is a truly EPIC read. I would definitely recommend this. Thank you to the author, Ms. Aarons and Inkslinger PR for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Down We’ll Come, Baby by Carrie Aarons will join he ranks of BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Author of romance novels such as Red Card and Privileged, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. A former journalist, she prefers the stories she dreams up, and the yoga pant dress code, much better.
When she isn’t writing, Carrie is busy binging reality TV, having a love/hate relationship with cardio, and trying not to burn dinner. She lives in the suburbs of New Jersey with her husband, daughter and dog.
